Don't use authority, use data
If you are constantly using your authority and tile to get your team to do things as you see them, something is wrong.
Instead try to use data, logic, and persuasion.
Data-driven decisions are always better in the long run. Beware though, it’s very easy to fall into the illusion of making data-driven decisions when you influenced the data from the very start using your authority and/or access to ensure the result was what you wanted. It’s very easy to fall into this trap. Pre-selecting a certain type of customer base for interviews, using data points from a single source, asking leading questions, and a lot more small things can break your data-driven decision-making process before it even starts.
Make sure you let data make the decisions from start to end.
