Building an agency is hard.
It's 5:43 a.m. - and I'm still at it. I have been cracking hard for the last 18 hours, and I still have a to-do list longer than when I started the day. WTF!

How can I work on so many tasks, get so many things checked off, attend over half a dozen calls, and still end up with more tasks on my list from the start of the day? I'm back in that loop—the endless loop of tasks and todos.
Building a niche agency focused on providing top-class digital marketing services to painters is much harder than it looks. We've grown over 200% in year-on-year revenue, and we are just scratching the surface of what's possible.
We want to 5x in the next 14 months. Is it possible? Yes. Will I remain sane while we do it? Doubtful. I have an excellent partner, Brandon, who is the CEO and has bought the company here from 0 in 2 years; I joined him earlier this year to help build operations. I thought I've done this many times before; this would be easy. But boy, was I wrong. Fixing things has proven much more complicated than I anticipated; several things happened after I joined, like the Operations Manager quitting, a hard time finding good talent, and fires everywhere. I've been playing catchup since the day I joined, and it was hard.
What makes it worth it? We are building something that truly changes people's lives; the feedback I've been getting from our clients is nothing short of AMAZING. We have been helping painting contractors across the US fill their calendars and grow their businesses. Nothing is more pleasurable than hearing how your work has impacted the lives of others positively.
Building an agency is hard; it's harder if you're trying to do the right thing and deliver amazing service, but is it worth it in the end? Hell yeah.
